The Story

We’ve teamed up with Swatch—their name is a contraction for “second watch”—to create this special collection of watches that feature details from artworks from MoMA’s collection. Each MoMA and Swatch Watch is made from nylon with a waterproof PU coating and is water-resistant up to 100 feet. Swatch has watch designs in the Museum’s collection.

 
Artists and works include:

Tadanori Yokoo, The City: The City and Design, The Wonders of Life on Earth, Isamu Kurita (1966).
Vincent van Gogh’s The Starry Night (Saint Rémy, June 1889).
Henri Rousseau’s The Dream (1910).
Tadanori Yokoo, New York: New York (1968). 
Gustav Klimt’s Hope, II (1907-08). 
Piet Mondrian’s Composition in Oval with Color Planes 1 (1914).
