A study in hard vs. soft, George Nelson’s Leather Cube Lounge Chair juxtaposes a rigorous wood frame with soft, tufted cushions, finished with piping, for low-key lounging. As its name implies, this 1968 design has a square shape, giving it an effortless and timeless modern look. Its gentled angled seatback provides an equal measure of give and support, which supports both an upright work position but with supple cushions that invite laidback lounging.
