The Story

MoMA Exclusive: A branch from a cherry blossom tree, grown and harvested in Japan, is captured in acrylic and resin to create a permanent moment of beauty in your home. The Cherry Blossom Objet d’Art is the brainchild of artist and cinematographer Takao Inoue, who enjoys capturing simple, ephemeral moments to “stare at you [and] make you happy,” and is known for creating similar works with dandelions and tulips. “Even if the cherry blossoms are in full bloom, once they start to fall, all the petals will fall at once,” says Inoue. “I'm particularly attracted to the petals when they start to fall.” The Cherry Blossom Objet d’Art is made in Japan and measures 6.75h x 2.75w x 2.75”d.
